Seamless Updates For Event Website
Ingram Micro is the world's largest distributor of computer and technology products. Every year, companies and partners in the Asia Pacific region are gathered together for the Ingram Micro ONE Apac Conference. This 3 day conference held in 2019 hosted 7 panel discussions, 8 keynote sessions and 25 breakout sessions.
Our conversation with the team highlighted two pain points - the need for heavy content upload, and to manage realtime updates quickly and accurately. We resolved these points by proposing a user-friendly Content Management System (CMS) that anyone from their team can update easily.
Say Goodbye To Messy Updates
With this CMS system, multiple users could work on updating the website at one time without worrying that their changes would be overwritten. All changes were real-time, and could be cross-checked before being published live.
One Website, Different Languages
A multilingual website was required to cater to users from different countries. We built a multi-language toggle in the website which allowed users to toggle seamlessly between English and Chinese language at any time.
Key Information, All At One Place
With so much information to convey to users, it was a key consideration in the design process to make sure that the information displayed was clear.
As the key objective for the website was to encourage registration for the event, the 'Register Now' button was prominently displayed at the top right corner of the website.
The key content of the website was in the Agenda page, which included the schedule for the event, synopsis of each talk and information on the speakers. To keep the page clean and conciser, users would have to click on the speakers and synopsis to read more.
Clear Toggle and Easy Access to Information
To enable users to quickly search for relevant information instead of scrolling through the page, the Visitor's Guide page was clearly divided into three categories: General, Attendee Info and Hotel & Travel. The categories could be easily toggled around.
